One of my first and most beloved perennial fandoms. Most of my fic to date has centered around Leia Organa and the Skywalker family. I generally do not worry about compliance with the Expanded Universe, only with movie canon, although I sometimes use details I like from the EU where it suits the story.

"Hraala could not remember a time before the Naked Ones came. Not even the eldest of the tribe could, but that time was the subject of most of the stories. It was a good time: not easy, but easier, when there was grazing for the banthas and the People could hunt in the canyons undisturbed, before the Naked Ones came with their fire weapons and their machines and took the canyons for their own, and the scarce fertile land and fresh water. When the People brought their banthas to the old grazing grounds, the Naked Ones killed the People with their fire weapons and put their heads on stakes. It was an abomination to die like that." This is a story about the Tuskens as they might see themselves.
